Centurion Apartment Real Estate Investment Trust: Managed Redemption Program
In response to current market conditions, and with a continued commitment to protecting the long-term stability and performance of the Trust, the Board of Trustees of Centurion Apartment Real Estate Investment Trust has made the decision to introduce a temporary Managed Redemption Program, effective immediately.
This is the first time in the REIT’s history that redemptions have been limited. While Centurion has positive performance and a growing portfolio, a disciplined approach is necessary to ensure stability and protect the interests of all Unitholders during this period.
As part of this Managed Redemption Program, redemption requests will be satisfied through the issuance of Centurion Operating Trust (COT) Notes. These notes represent a deferred payment mechanism, allowing investors to maintain their redemption priority in an orderly, transparent process while helping preserve the Trust’s liquidity and stability.
Monthly Allocation: The fund will allocate $20,000,000 CAD each month to redeem COT Notes on a pro-rata basis, with all notes treated equally regardless of issuance date. The Board will review the program monthly to ensure it remains aligned with market conditions and the Trust’s long-term objectives.
The REIT will continue to pay the monthly cash and DRIP distributions to all Unitholders and will attempt to provide redemption liquidity consistent with more normalized redemption levels, albeit in a manner equitable to all our Investors.
Centurion remains committed to transparency, stability, and regular communication with our Investors and Advisors. These measures are intended to be temporary and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
