Centurion Apartment REIT is pleased to announce that it has hired Wayne Tuck as Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer.  Mr Tuck has over 15 years of senior level operations experience in the luxury hotel, multi-residential property management and retirement home industries, working with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Metropolitan Hotels, Minto Urban Communities, GWL Realty Advisors/Vertica Resident Services and Revera Retirement.  Mr Tuck studied Architecture at Ryerson University in Toronto and received his MBA from the University of Guelph.  He is a past director of the Greater Toronto Apartment Association and Canadian Federation of Apartment Associations.

Commenting on the hire, Greg Romundt, President of Centurion stated:

"We are very excited that Wayne will be joining Centurion.  This is a strategic enhancement of our executive and operational level bench strength which we expect, in time,  will build upon our platform and set the foundation for portfolio growth and enhanced performance.  With this addition, we will have more time to focus on our strategic opportunities and deploying the capital we have raised into accretive acquisitions while also increasing our ability to execute upon our growth and performance objectives."

Executive responsibilities will be split with Mr Tuck taking primary charge of  the operational aspects of the portfolio and Mr Romundt taking primary charge of the investment and strategy side of the platform (capital raising, acquisitions, financings and investor relations)

Additional structural hires have recently been made to support the platform including an Acquisition Analyst, a Financial Analyst and an Internal Wholesale Sales Representative.

Mr Tuck is expected to commence his duties in February 2012.
