Centurion’s HR Team Recognized as one of 2024’s Most Innovative HR Teams
We are pleased to announce that Centurion’s Human Resources Team has been selected by Canadian HR Reporter as one of 2024’s Most Innovative HR Teams. This award recognizes the top teams in the country who are dedicated to upholding excellence and championing innovative strategies in the HR industry.
Submissions for this award focused on a range of disciplines including HR technology, diversity and inclusion, health and wellness, and talent management. Winners were selected by Canadian HR Reporter by assessing and benchmarking each nominee for three key factors: detailed information, true innovation, and proven success.
Over the past year, Centurion's HR Team has introduced several innovative initiatives aimed towards enhancing Employee well-being and fostering a culture of engagement and growth. Among these initiatives are:
- Book Club: Starting with the first book, "Leaders Eat Last," by Simon Sinek tailored specifically for our leadership circle. Our discussions fostered meaningful dialogue and exchange of perspectives, enriching our leadership community. The next book club, "Atomic Habits," is tailored to empower all Employees in developing positive habits.
- Quarterly Well-being Challenges: Recognizing the importance of holistic well-being, we introduced quarterly challenges aimed at promoting physical, mental, and FINANCIAL wellness among our Employees. These challenges, ranging from fitness goals to mindfulness practices, not only encourage healthy habits but also foster a sense of camaraderie and motivation within our workforce.
- Enhanced Benefits Coverage: Through strategic collaboration with our group benefits provider, we expanded coverage for essential services such as access to psychologists and social workers to the allowed plan maximum. We also introduced a Health Spending Account so that Employees could decide where they wanted to direct their benefits funding, and launched a 24/7 virtual healthcare app.
“We’re honoured to be recognized as one of the Most Innovative HR Teams for the third time,” commented Laura Salvatore, Vice President of Human Capital. "These initiatives reflect our commitment to creating a workplace where Employees feel empowered to excel both personally and professionally. We will continue prioritizing the well-being and success of our team members as we innovate and evolve.”
